A Little About Us.Gary grew up in the mid-west and after graduating High School ventured to Wisconsin for a couple of years where he attended Madison Area Technical College. He then enlisted and served in the Air Force for 5 years where he met and married Kim. Next, both Gary and Kim attended and graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College. Later he earned a Master’s Degree from Simpson University. Gary has been a pastor in the Christian & Missionary Alliance since 1988.

Kim also grew up in the Midwest and joined the Air Force right after High School. She met Gary while participating in the Outdoor Adventure Program. This set the stage for their pursuit of many outdoor adventures over the years. As the mother of two, and now the grandmother of five Kim has primarily invested herself as a devoted wife supporting Gary, and pouring into her children and grandchildren. As a homemaker and dedicated volunteer both in the church and in the communities in which we have lived she always manages to keep busy. Her volunteering is as a 'behind the scenes' servant who enjoys many practical organizing endeavors.
Gary and Kim have been married for over 40 years. They have two grown children, Shannon, living in Bozeman, Montana, and Danae (along with her husband Jeff and five children) live in Minnesota. For fun, Kim and Gary enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities that include riding bikes, kayaking, camping, backpacking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. Their favorite pastime at home, is reading.

Our Home
Below find a few pictures from our first year of retirement - 2020. We definitely enjoyed ourselves even though our travels have had to be more local. The Bozeman area is definitely a place worth exploring. Enjoy!

- January through May volunteer at Yellowstone Alliance Adventures (YAA) Camp, Bozeman, MT
- June through August Interim Pastor Onamia Alliance Church in Onamia, MN.
- September through November, fulltime Assistant Director at YAA.
- December, 2021 through May 2022, Interim Pastor Kiel Alliance Church in Kiel, WI.
- October through December, Interim Pastor Journey Church, Conway, NH.
- We did a family trip to Arizona.
- We spent the month of June in MN doing a bedroom build on our daughter's family's house.
- We enjoyed a number of camping trips around Montana.
- We did a 3 week trip to the United Kingdom visiting England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
- From January 1 to May 31 we served Bethany Alliance Church in Charles City, Iowa.
